Four quick things,
then the site goes live.

Hi Mike — Nancy's new website is built and ready. To connect it to her domain we need a few details only you two have. Each item checks itself off as you complete it, your progress saves automatically, and your answers reach Juan on their own.

The domain stays Nancy's. It remains registered in her name at Squarespace, paid for by her, and she can point it anywhere at any time. Nothing here transfers ownership, and nobody will ever need her password.

The official email for the website

When someone asks about a painting on the site, this is the inbox that message lands in. It should be an address Nancy (or you) already checks — her everyday Gmail is perfect. It doesn't need to match the domain.
If a second person should also receive them, add both addresses separated by a comma.

The domain Nancy bought through Squarespace, written out exactly.

Does Nancy have email at her own domain?

Meaning an address that ends in her domain — like nancy@nancystegall.com. This matters because that kind of email travels through the same settings we're about to change. If we know about it beforehand, it carries over without a blip.

Show us the domain's current settings

Before switching anything we take a full snapshot of how the domain is configured today — it's the safety net that makes the whole change reversible. Two ways to get it to us; screenshots are the easy one.
Option A — screenshots, dropped right here (recommended, ~2 minutes)
  1. Sign in at account.squarespace.com — the same login used to buy the domain.
  2. Click Domains, then click Nancy's domain.
  3. Open DNS (sometimes labeled DNS Settings).
  4. You'll see a table of technical rows — it looks like gibberish, and that's fine. Screenshot the whole table, scrolling down and taking extra shots if it doesn't fit on one screen. Too many screenshots is better than too few.
  5. Drop them in the box below — they go straight to Juan, and this step checks itself off.

Option B — invite Skyfynd as a domain manager
  1. On that same domain page, look for a sharing, permissions or invite domain manager option (Squarespace shows it in different places depending on the account).
  2. If you find it, invite contact@skyfynd.io. No password changes hands — it's access Nancy can revoke anytime.
  3. If you can't find it, don't hunt — Option A covers everything we need.

Anything else living on this domain?

A newsletter service, an online shop, a booking page, an old website still up — anything at all connected to the domain. Over-telling is better than under-telling.

What happens after this

Juan prepares everything first. The new settings get built and double-checked while the domain carries on exactly as it is — nothing changes yet.

A switch time gets scheduled. A weekday morning, never a Friday — so there's a full working day behind it if anything needs attention.

The domain starts pointing at the new site. Most visitors see it within minutes; a few can take a couple of hours. That's normal.

Everything gets tested end to end. The site loads, the enquiry form actually delivers, and Nancy's email still works — confirmed with a real message, not assumed. And if anything ever looks wrong, the change can simply be reversed.
